Upgrade.html file missing

Postby Neileagle » Wed Nov 07, 2007 3:17 pm

Hi Guys,

Sorry to bother you with a trivial matter, but I've just downloaded the latest stable version from sourceforge and the file containing the upgrade instructions is missing.

I've been searching the forum for help on this, but can't find any specific instructions for upgrading from 1.23 to 1.25.1.

I'm hoping the update will fix a problem I have with the newsdat.txt file disappearing periodically from my server (with no apparent action for myself or any other user).

It isn't trivial at all. Thank you very much for reporting it. I've filed a bug report on SourceForge, and in the meantime just upgrade like this:

1. DO A BACKUP :D

2. Open the new versions of coranto.cgi and viewnews.cgi and make sure the path to perl on the first line is correct.

3. Upload the following files in the Coranto directory over the old ones:

- coranto.cgi
- viewnews.cgi
- craddon.pl
- cradmin.pl
- crcore.pl
- crcrypt.pl
- crlang.pl
- crlib.pl
- crsetup.pl
- cruser.pl

Yeah, I realize some of those files haven't changed from 1.23 to 1.25.1, but I don't remember which ones they are from the top of my head, and you won't do anything wrong by uploading them.

3. Log in. If you have problems, verify the permissions on the files you uploaded.
