How to NOT have generic errors printed thru Coranto admin??

Postby FitnessJunkie » Fri Sep 03, 2004 12:55 pm

Hi. In what way or with what workaround could I make error
messages not reveal the Coranto admin area? For instance,
when users submit news through GuestPost and omit a required
field, the error message takes them to Coranto where they can
see all the admin links, Coranto URL, etc..

How could I either use a different page for that or, at the very
least
, customize the error message(s)?

Thanks.

To some extent it is possible to specify custom error/success pages within GuestPost. I don´t use GuestPost myself so I can´t be more specific then that.

But I also know that it is a problem using guestpost and other addons which may present there own errorpages (overriding the error/success page setting within GP). Multipart and CustomFields are examples of such addons, but it really isn´t there fault, currently it just is no other way for them to handle errors. This has been discussed before in this thread, including a solution. It is not possible without a change to both the core *and* the addons presenting the error messages though. Maybe this could be attended within the 1.30.x series, making mental note...
Yes, I am still around...

Ahh -- that's what I was looking for. No matter how I searched,
I couldn't seem to get back there.

Thank you for your concern and assistance once again. :-)
