edit function seen as post by anti flood mechanism

Postby Esstee » Tue Jun 07, 2005 12:45 pm

I just wanted to point out that whenever I edit a post and press submit
the forum treats it like a new thread and enforces a flood protection timer.

shouldn't the edit function be exempt from that?
I went deeper into the belly of Coranto and look! I found maginot.

The forum treats EDIT page submissions similarily to a new thread or a new post page. This is why it also applies the timer. Unfortunately it is a function that ccomes with this forum software, you just need to refresh the submit page and after a little while it will tell you that the post has been submitted.

It is someone letting you know that you should think before you post... ;-) I have encountered this problem some times when people make a post, I start replying, they go in and edit the post and once I submit my post the original post has changed.... Duh....

Thats halarious!
I do it all the time ;)

I think before I post, my problem is spelling and phrase structuring, I am not
english therefore I often miss use words in my posts, only to realize later that
It does not make much sense so I got off trying to patch it up
"thesaurus and inline speek check in hand" ;)

Don't sweat it guys. Your English kicks butt on my Estonian/Norwegian/Swedish. Heck, from some of my posts, you'd think I don't even speak eEnglish all that well...

I did the same during my first time here, used a spellchecker and all that. Then I got tired of it (took to much time) and instead started to rely on people like SrNupsen and kriko to make fun of me when I screw up too badly... ;-)
