Here it is a small bug-fix for the experimental-development branch.
Coranto V 1.30.3 is out.

No problem Lawrence. I also am pretty busy.
I tried this out and seems ok. Once I get more confirmations, I will start:

a) implementing some better signalling in the buildNews (with the action codes, as I discussed sometime ago, to avoid having all the process done all the time).
b) testing some newdat splitting routines (see discussions with kriko) to start the real automatic support for large databases.

Hey could you two take a look at these two topics. I think they could be easily implemented without breaking anything

1: This is already possible with news fields but how about [urlhttp://coranto.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5568]userfields

2: This would allow all profiles to change extension

just some easy to do's if you could

Feature n1: ssi in user fields. It is possible, but needs to be optional not to increase build time...

Feature n.2: custom file names. it is already in (it has always been in the experimental branch)

1: cool so it is doable. could make it an option like the ssi for newsfields

2: cool. Experimental branch eh... Sounds top secretish. lol

Maybe this is a small thing to add to the 1.30-series, even tough it is Javascript? ;-)

The last post by me in the thread above includes a perfectly working solution. And the functionality does not break anything if Javascript isn´t enabled...

Coranto is not designed to be used by the audience of a web site, such as a forum is. I would strongly advise not to do this. Anyway, if it can be done effectively as an addon, why not?

What Coranto generates is done for the audience. Coranto's interface isn't.

My coranto is. Not sure what you do with yours but mine is VERY user friendly. 98% of my users know how to check email, post, and use aim that's it.

This one of the main reasons I started with newspro/coranto. Ease of use and this option does that, but I am not sure I agree with javascript in the core.

This functionality is ment for the ones using Coranto, not the user that sees the output? I get frustrated every time when I log into Coranto that I have to focus on the login-field, this is a simple fix for it... I do not understand why you are strongly against it? Please explain more...

That version appended to only one profile.txt the same headlines in each build - rather than overwritten. It's just the last used profile (I'm using four profiles).

I'm using three profiles containing a specific news category (and one filtering) and one profile containing multiples categories (and one filtering). I thing profile containing multiples categories is responsible for the bug.

cerberos, I am testing 1.30.3 and was curious about the option to specify another fileextension in a *normal* profile, which you say has been included(?), but it doesn´t seem to be there? Shouldn´t it be in the Advanced Settings in the Edit Profile page, or am I missing something?
Yes, I am still around...
