Trouble With News Categories

Postby GabeT » Fri Oct 06, 2006 5:15 am

I've been around for a while just havent really had any questions of my own to ask. I've always used the search function to get my information, but now I seem to have a few problems with the news categories.

I'm running coranto 1.24 on my site with a few addons like: X MultiSubmit, WebWriter and Multipart.

I have 2 catigories one for news and one for features. I had already had a "news" folder made which is default all the news files are made there. I made a second folder called "features" where all that data is stored. Here is my question, Why do the features html files get stored in the news folder? and when i post a feature it automaticly shows on my news section. Is there a way to store my features files into the features directory? and should i have a third catigory for the news and leave the original news folder as a defualt?

Thanks in advance..

If you want to create static HTML files in different folders, you will need the Maginot addon. Also check your profile settings to make sure that only items from the news category are included in one, and only items from features in the other.

I forgot to mention that I already have Maginot installed. Do i just create a new profile for the features?

If you allready have Maginot, then you are all set. Just check the path setting (at the top) of your profile's settings page. You will need two different profiles, one to output news and one to output features. For your news profile, path setting should be set to your news directory. For the features profile, the feature directory.
