CGI Error

Postby pda247 » Mon Jun 12, 2006 5:14 pm

Hi there

We get CGI errors now and then on our site (http://www.clieuk.co.uk/index.shtml) but today we are getting the following message every time when trying to build news (only building 1 small item)-

CGI Error
The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers.

We have used a backup of nsettings with no change and my hosts advise that the server is running fine. The error has been appearing a bit more frequently over the past few days but decided to stick permanently today:(

Any ideas?

Thanks

How have you determained it is only one small item that is being built? For clarification: when a new newsitem is submitted or an old one changed all the profiles where this newsitem belongs to is rebuilt.

Do you get this message the second you press rebuild (or submit the newsitem) or after a while? Maybe the building takes too long and the server times out? Many servers have a CGI exectution time limit which may cause Coranto not to complete and deliver a correct HTTP header (eg. a HTML "build succesfull" page)...
Yes, I am still around...
