Hi all

The Textarea in submit news and modify has disappeared, all was working fine until i let the users in to start posting.
The only fields available are
Date:
Category:

Also nearly all the users have been deleted/lost. It seems to me we have had someone messing around or some files have been corrupted.

I did the site for Fire Investigation Dogs for peanuts as one of the handlers is a friend, Now its a real pain.

Does anyone have any ideas what has caused this problem, hopefully its a simple solution.

I'm, using Coranto v1.24 with Multipart, Backup, News Categories

First, backup everything on your site.

Then check (inside your Coranto directory) the sizes of files nsettings.cgi and nsbk.cgi - and report them back here.

nsettings.cgi = 21.2 KB (21,742 bytes)

nsbk.cgi = 20.3 KB (20,814 bytes)

Thanks for your prompt reply

Roy

Edit 1.
just second guessing you i have renamed nsbk.cgi to nsettings.cgi and uploaded and that seems to have cured it. Easy to underdo if i have got ahead of myself.

Right on the spot :) I would have expected nsbk.cgi to be bigger than nsettings.cgi, but corruption can ouccur without truncation too, I guess...

The reason you should backup first, is that some of your latest settings may be lost if you replace nsettings.cgi with nsbk.cgi

But it looks good, then!
