Rebuild prolems

1. I have some problems with Full Rebuild.
after rebuilding I always receive 500 error instead of going to coranto page.
No news at this time is shown on the page. Than I have to make Build News, and only after that all news go to their place

2. and other problem. when I'm adding news, let's say in category NEWS, in interval while news is building no news from that category is shown on the page. News addition takes near 30 second, sometime more, due to the big database. so every time i'm adding any news, nothing is shown on my page

You need to get hold of your server's error log to find out why you are getting 500 errors.

As for news not showing during build, it's normal - but it shouldn't take as much as 30 seconds. How big is your newsdat.txt? How many profiles do you have?

I have 2 profiles, 10 categories, newsdat.txt is near 35 Mb
and I'm using MySql.
The problem is not database response, because i'm using there other coranto account, fresh installed, that has no such problems. seems the database size means.

Sounds like your server is timing out to me. That is, full rebuild takes too long to complete and your server gives you a 500 error.

You could try the partial rebuild addon for that.

As for news not showing while news are being built - it's the way Coranto works, and nothing much to do about. But also here the partial build addon might help you.

35Mb is quite a lot of newsdat.txt :)

yeah, it's quite a lot, that's why i'm using MySQL databases.

500 errors

I had the same problem, slow rebuild then 500 error. Turns out I was using too much CPU time on my server and my newsdat.txt file was only 1MB. I also have over two dozen daily contributors. I solved the problem by buying my own IBM xSeries (cheaper than you might think). I still use my hosting service for my web pages, but Coranto is run on my personal server. The server has a 3.06GHz Xeon and every time Coranto rebuilds it uses 50% of the CPU resource. I would like to use Partial Rebuild, but I can't find a copy of it anywhere.
