MultiPart 1.4.3 Feature Request

Postby Squirre1 » Sun Dec 01, 2002 3:15 pm

Beautiful addon, and as Lawrence said, much nicer than the original upload addon.

2 requests if at all possible...

1. Integrate with VisualMagick's ImageMagick to create thumbnails for images that one may upload on the fly. Something like a checkbox in the option to create thumbnail... THIS WOULD BE A MUCH WANTED FEATURE I WOULD ANTICIPATE!!! :)

2. Ability to place uploads in a (month)(year) folder within the uploads folder. For ex. If it is December of 2002 and I uploaded an image and I checked the imaginary box to sort by month/year... ;}

Set it multipart:
Filepath: e:\apache\httpdocs\pics
URLpath: http://www.website.com/pics

But it would actually upload the image to:
Filepath: e:\apache\httpdocs\pics\dec2002
URLpath: e:\apache\httpdocs\pics\dec2002

This would help with sorting the images that are uploaded so you don't get one folder that is just laiden with uploads.

I know you can make additional profiles for different areas, but that would be crazy to make one for every month.

Oh just thought of another request.. :) love me....

3. If you can add 1 upload field into the Post section so they can upload a image at the same time they post news...

1 and 3 would be a great set of features I think and 2 would just a great ease on the administration side.

If you read down this far, thanks for reading everything...
Great Addon

Just wait for Coranto 2's multipart (one of the first addons I'll be doing for cr2).

There's also no guarantee anybody will be accepted to the alpha test - the idea is that we'll choose the people we believe will be most helpful to us in alpha, so we don't miss the wheat for the chaff. Once things are ready to go to beta, everybody will be able to test Coranto 2, the same as happened with Coranto 1.

Do NOT send me instant messages asking for Coranto help without me telling you explicitly to do so. You WILL be placed on ignore if you do so; I don't have time to provide personal tech support to every person who IM's me. Sorry!
