Setting up a plain vanilla text field to allow for coding

Postby Jgold723 » Tue Aug 08, 2006 2:15 pm

My client would like to be able to do some coding (specifically tables) within a Coranto (1.24) text field. I created a multi-line field and turned off the automatic <br> tags (so she would insert blank lines to make it easier to enter the HTML tags and review the code.

But when the story is saved, then reopened for editing, I find that all the line endings have been removed and all the code is squished together.

Is there a way to prevent this? Or, alternatively, is there a better way to give her the ability to do some coding/design w/in the Coranto framework?

Thanks,

john

You can enter text and keep the line breaks etc. without converting them to <br> tags using Prisoner's Dilemma

You use this by enclosing your input between <BRESCAPE> and </BRESCAPE> tags where you do not want Coranto to convert line feeds.
