How to use and place an image tag

As I continue to press on my newsroom project, I ak slowly realizing
the amount of work involved in developing this news service.

So far I have managed to receive enough help from the forums to get
passed most obstacles, but one problem continue to come up and
a solution is not clear to me.

For my headlines and teaser I used multipart to upload and place images
in fixed locations. (that works great)

But in my full story, which will most times span several pages, I would like
a way to place images in the story, not just IMG tags but tags with some
form of tex flow formating around it as well so that the news writers can
build a story around the images in an organized fashion.

I have been looking at different ways to insert images into the text field
but nothing seems to work efficiently.

Worst case I would use something like Quicklinks with a customized
alogn left button with padding on it, but idealy I could create some kind
of tag that I could just drop into the TEXT field or something.

Better yet, an image tag button with a field that asks for a no. to
identify an image with woulb be awesome! but anyways... my question is
this, if you had to insert many images in a multipage document how
would you go about it?

Have you checked out any of the WYSIWYG addons?

There is only two wysiwyg addons that I saw for Coranto and they both
put my news submission at risk, because I rely heavilly on CSS to format
the output which is already pretty much enter text here, image here typa
thing..

my only gripe is that the whole image placement thingy kinda of breaks the
whole flow there are addons but each have there drawback as far as I can
see.

Ideally there would be an upload and an image selection field.
then a plecement button where you just place the cursor in the text
and press it and the image tag appears, then it could be formated
with left, right top alignement etc.

I once tried out a demo news script I think it was called news articles
or something like that, it was not very flexible but it did have the
image thing downpat I wonderd if there was any hope of someone
replicating the image input it use for Coranto.

Anyways I'm not complaining, the system does work and I don't want
to sound like i'm nit picking so..
