Using If Else Statements with multipart?

Postby Pirate Elf » Tue Apr 29, 2008 2:19 am

I am playing with a concept here. Multipart does not support moving thumbnail creation it is a slight problem. However, I thought of a work around using an if else statement. Basically this If else statement would check if the field uploaded was a gif if so it would use the gif's address instead of the thumbnail

so for instance I have the News field so it is an upload field. Then from there in my style it would basically go (This is not right hence the question)

Code: Select all
<If: Field: CustomField_1234567 eq '<FileName>.gif'>
This is a gif and will use a different address
<If: Else: Field: CustomField_1234567 eq '<FileName>.jpg'>
  This is not a gif

Anyone got an idea or if this would be doable?

I'm pretty sure that <FileName> can only be used on Multipart field settings page (to specify how thumbnails should be named).

I suggest you implement a perl or PHP routine to check the file extension. If you use PHP I can write one for you, but later today because I'm in a rush right now :)
