Coranto Integration All Over PFC

HeYo everyone...I've been using Coranto and visiting this board for about three months now, and I think my Coranto usage is stable to the point where I can show it off still.

http://www.pfcritics.com/

The left side with the four top stories is coranto(along with the image) and the more link. The three sections, "This Week in Football, Columns, and Site Information" are all Coranto. If you click the archives, the archives I have are ordered by date.

The poll on the far right of the page is RPoll for Coranto. The Search at the top of the page searches all Coranto news that I posted.

My own little add on, if you hover over the little double box next to the news articles, it pops up with a little preview of the article including who posted it.

And finally, each news article is listed inside the page design once you click on the link.

Comments, suggestions, anything else? Feel free to respond :) Thanks!

Updated...

I updated my layout yesterday, including some coranto things. Take a look or lemme know what you think :)

The newboard, poll, and iSay all use coranto. Also for the team pages, that news is done through Parsed RSS.

I got the Coranto RPoll to open in a nice near window...

Can you post a direct link to this section? Also would be nice to see the source RSS.

Spiffy implementation there. :)

What addons do you use with Coranto?

:)

Thanks :)

Here are the add-ons I use that help with my actual site(not listing the ones like Face Lift, for example...)

-iSay(For User comments on news)
-Maginot(Helps with news styles I believe)
-Multipart(Helps with getting images for my top story and inside news sections)
-RPoll(My poll)
-RSSParser(I input RSS feeds from Topix.Net, and it shows them(On my team pages))

Those are the addons that are actually implemented on my site.

Let me know if there are any more questions :) or suggestions...

I am struggling with some of things you have implimented (pretty much all but Maginot) and would find it very helpful if you would share. Any chance of me getting a copy of your site config & some page templates? I learn best by deconstructing working examples and would appreciate having the chance to explore how you did it. I don't need or want your server path info or personal admin passwords, but would find any other stuff you are willing to pass on useful.

If you're open to that, send me a private email. Ideally, I'd like a zip file of your first backup without live content, but would settle for a bunch of addon specific screen shots if you think that an actual site copy is asking too much. You don't have to worry about me as competition. I barely understand the rules of football and have no interest in starting a site to discuss it.

I wanted to update you guys on some changes I've made my site regarding Coranto. http://www.pfcritics.com/

I've gotten rid of the Parsed RSS news sections, as it was conflicting with my build news often for some reason...

On the front page, I've added nice little icons as well as a small preview to any news postings I make. I also have a rumors section near the top right corner of my page that opens up in a new window. My poll also opens in a cute little window with results.

Just recently, I made a new section to my website here:

http://www.pfcritics.com/misc/psd/psd.php

Everything on that page and the following page is done through coranto(with the exception of uploading the actual .zip file, which I have to FTP...)...

February 18th, 2006 Update

8 months later; time for me to showcase my Coranto again ;)

I updated my layout, here's what uses Coranto on my site now:

-The Top Story(Including the image)
-The News Headlines(Including the image on the actual news page)
-The Poll on the Front Page
-Site Updates Headlines
-On the drop down menu thing near the top of my page, look at "Newsletter" on the far right. Click that, and you'll see a sign-up thing. That is a newsletter through Coranto(with the help of a javascript pop down thingy).
-On the features tab, you'll see Poll History. That uses frames on that page to display all of my previous polls from Coranto.
-The player profiles on the right are done through Coranto, as well as the latest three player profiles below my top story section.

Soon, I hope to have individual team pages like I used to have. I'm trying to see if I can display specific headlines for a certain team by using an include on a search file basically...

Any comments are appreciated :p
