Audioholics (home theater review website)

Postby hawke » Wed Mar 10, 2004 6:55 pm

Just wanted to drop everyone a line and give props to the Coranto community. Audioholics has been using Coranto for the past year and a half.

It's simply the best software to display current news items and show whats happening on the site.

Thanks a bunch, everyone!

How on earth did you do that? Your site is great, I would kill to know how you used Coranto for posting product information. Any hints?

Lots and lots of Categories... We currently do not use Coranto for our reviews - just all the other sections (just about). I have a few more to integrate, but then other than reviews we'll be fully Coranto-driven.

You'll also need a new Profile for every different directory you want to store stuff in, etc... It's a LOT of setup work. Start with one section and add more as you go.

No, not really. In Maginot, you can use Coranto field names in your profile paths, so if you have categories Sports, News and Banana and put:

Code: Select all
/path/to/html/files/<Field: Category>/<Field: newsid>.shtml

(or whatever)

in your profile's settings, you'll have each category of news neatly sorted into its own directory.

I hate you... :D

The more I do, the less I find I know it seems....

Problem is - my site is so darn large now (and well-indexed in Google, etc) I don't see how I could go back and do some of this the much neater way you just described.
