EVERYTHING is via coranto, even the JAVA applet things (coranto generates the params for it). :-)

Sections like the VIDEO page and reviews are generated automatically from ANY items that contain video regardless of category.

The Artist a2z page links to any related items segmented by type (news, multimedia, gallery, links, reviews). This is done automatically by maginot sliced profiles that build the required index lists which then get SSIed into the page.

Every article will automatically have a related news section based on keywords submited at story post time.

THe only thing missing right now is the RATE THIS article funcionality, since maudilin wants to build every profile everytime and thats a no no when you have close to 100 profiles.

Do NOT send me instant messages asking for Coranto help without me telling you explicitly to do so. You WILL be placed on ignore if you do so; I don't have time to provide personal tech support to every person who IM's me. Sorry!

That's a MARVEL of what Coranto can do. I am shocked to see that Coranto can pull that off. I knew it could, I just didn't know how. You are an inspiration to everyone who wants to make a portal site who wants to use Coranto instead of fugly Nuke clones.

WOW thanks!

Didnt see your message until now, thank you for your kind words. I did put a lot of work in that site :-)

I have made some changes so if you want to check it out:

http://stories.lamusica.com

New Things to note:

http://stories.lamusica.com/RickMartin.shtml
Artist pages totally revamped, sliced profiles now automatically populate image galleries, videos, multimedia, reviews, links and related news sections of the page based on certain fields having or not having certain data. These profiles look at all the stories submited for that particular artist and add the story to the section if it contains that type of content (a gallery or a video for instace)
Thank you sumaleth for a2z and the custom filter by field!!! it would be possible without these two addons... and of course sliced profiles in maginot.

-news and reviews archives are now on a drop down menu.
http://stories.lamusica.com/news.shtml
http://stories.lamusica.com/reviews.shtml
-Amazon.com integration for CD and movie reviews. (coranto automatically generates the proper amazon link based onthe item title)
-Event listings that automatically expire and com back for recurrent events. (based on expire code and other code by flaming bargains)
-full feature blogger for 4 people running in the community section
- Story flow and archiving changed, New custom archive profiles.
-INtegration with GALLERY, so that if a certain gallery is created its linked directly from the story automatically by simply selecting it from a dropdown menu. Menu is populated by a customfield which gets updated automatically via a custom script (actually edits the crcfg.dat)
-Fake User levels for aproving stories based on XMS and cateogries... allows for certain groups of people to submit stories to staging areas, then another group to make corrections, send stories back or aprove for instant publishing.

ITs actually quite simple... Amazon.com has a great search engine for its affiliates, you enter the title of a CD or book and it will give you a large list of different creatives that you can use to sell the item.

The amazon urls looks like this:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... sicacom-20

The only thing that will change from URL to URL is the ASIN. (and the referer code at the end if you use multiple affiliate programs on different sites). So once you extract the ASIN from the URLs generated by amazon, the rest of the URL can be part of the coranto style.

The actual lookup and insertion of the ASIN number into the ASIN field is done via javascript in a popup.
